February 19, 2022

AGI at the 2022 Munich Security Conference

With a new coalition government in Berlin and mid-term elections on the horizon in the United States, the United States and Germany face a long list of global challenges. The discussion was dominated by Russia’s threat to the European political and security order, and participants from Germany and the United States considered the possible responses to Russian aggression, emphasizing above all the importance of transatlantic unity. Participants also assessed the global challenge of dealing with the ambitions of authoritarian powers such as China and the potential for stronger U.S.-European cooperation.
