Dr. Sarah Wagner is a Lecturer (assistant professor) in Quantitative Political Science at Queen’s University Belfast where she works on political parties and their voters, specifically focusing on Western European radical left party positions on socio-cultural issues. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim’s Comparative Politics Chair and Principal Investigator/Director at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) on the project “Challenges of Radical Left and Left-wing Populist Parties for Party Competition and Coalition Politics in Western Europe.” She earned her PhD on “Radical Left Parties and the Role of Euroscepticism” at the University of Essex with a full scholarship by the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft (Foundation of German Research), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
