Yellen-Merkel: A Possible Tandem of Powerful Women

Frequent AGI participant and Director, Co-chairman of the Official Monetary and Financial Institution Forum (OMFIF), David Marsh recently detailed prospects for strong female leadership in the German chancellory and U.S. Federal Reserve. Chancellor Angela Merkel and Board of Governors Deputy Chairman Janet Yellen are deeply experienced in their respective fields, and both are frontrunners for the most powerful positions in these fields. However, neither candidate has a sure victory as each faces similarly strong competition.
