Mehmet Osman Gülyesil is pursuing a PhD in law at the Humboldt University of Berlin, covering “Islamophobia and the Law.” Mr. Gülyesil received a degree in Law from the University of Göttingen in 2012 and a B.A. in Islamic and Arabic Studies in 2013. He has worked for the judicial district of the Higher Regional Court of Braunschweig, as a tutor, a proofreading assistant, and as an academic research assistant in the past. Mr. Gülyesil has also volunteered as a tutor and reviewer and as a seminar participant at an international legal seminar in Turkey.
He was a 2015-2016 participant in AGI’s “Transatlantic Exchange Program for Young Minorities,” sponsored by the Transatlantic Program of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through Funds of the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
