Kayra Hohmann currently has a bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from the Free University Berlin. During her undergraduate program, Kayra studied at the Sabanci University in Istanbul for one year. Her academic focus lies on Peace and Conflict Studies, Gender and Migration in the Maghreb-Mashreq region, and Turkey. Kayra is specialized in qualitative fieldwork and has conducted interviews in Rabat, Istanbul, and Berlin. Kayra is currently working as a medical doctor’s assistant and translator. In October, Kayra will begin her master’s degree in Social Sciences at Humboldt University.
She is a 2019 participant in AGI’s “Transatlantic Young Leadership Program: Giving Voice to Diversity,” sponsored by the AT&T Foundation
