Featuring AGI Trustee: Jeffrey Aronson
Elected in December 2014 to serve on the AGI Board of Trustees, Jeffrey Aronson co-founded Centerbridge Partners L.P. in 2005 and serves as its Managing Principal. Centerbridge Partners is a private investment firm focused on private equity, distressed securities and credit investments.
Mr. Aronson has been an active investor in distressed securities for more than 20 years and has been deeply involved in many U.S. and overseas restructurings. Before the founding of Centerbridge Partners, Mr. Aronson was a Partner at Angelo, Gordon & Co. as the Head of Distressed Debt; he served as a Senior Corporate Counsel at L.F. Rothschild and was a Securities Attorney with the law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.
Mr. Aronson has been a trustee of John Hopkins University since 2006 and was elected as the 16th chair of the Board of Trustees in 2012. Mr. Aronson earned his law degree in 1983 from New York University School of Law and graduated with honors from John Hopkins University in 1980.
